Entwined

Entwined in sheets
No filigree can meet
The woes of never before told
Left the lesser for more untold

Spacious longings grasped mere edges
Holding on for morbid curiosity
Of what could not be foretold
Only experience deep inward smoldered

Happenstance didn’t matter
Never leaving inwardly battered
Shouldering burdens weightily measured
Expectantly wandering oasis’s pleasured

Christened without words
Hollow of blessings
Lying nakedly exposed
Awaiting, no lovers gently touching

It’s not what you think
It never is
It is time to take out the trash
To devour the everlasting breath
Which seeps the toll of anguish
That never weeps
