Breath

This is a work of fiction. Do NOT try this at home.

He put his hands around her neck and squeezed.
.
.
.
She couldn’t breathe.
.
.
.
In the depths of her imagination, she had thought at this very moment she would panic… struggle… try to escape… try to claw her way free… anything to breathe again… anything to suck air back into her starving lungs… anything but just lie here and let it happen… anything but let the blackness hovering at the edges slowly grow inward to consume her… anything but what actually happened.
.
.
.
She couldn’t breathe.
.
.
.
He embraced her in three ways.

First, with his eyes. They watched her closely. His dark grey-blue eyes penetrated her dark brown eyes. The eyes he had told her had captured him from the moment they first met. They had made him want to see into her deepest and darkest depths. He was looking there now. Watching for what, she was not sure.

Second, he embraced her with his legs, straddling her hips. They surrounded her gently but firmly, holding her as if they were his arms wrapped around her in a hug, except the bed at her back was the extension of his total embrace. His hips pressed her firmly into the mattress ensuring she could not buck him off if she should struggle.

Third, by his hands around her throat. They were firm, yet she knew they would not bruise. They held her just tight enough to not leave any marks while still restricting her breath, keeping it from her lungs.

They both knew she was a swimmer. She could hold her breath for a long time. She often swam the length of an Olympic size pool under water after having taken only one breath before diving into the water. Her lung capacity was amazing or so her swim coach had told her.

His hands remained firm and resolute. He did nothing she had not agreed to. For safety, to prevent any injuries, each ankle had been bound firmly and attached to each bed post spreading her legs but with just enough slack to allow her just the tiniest bit of movement. Her hands the same, bound and attached to each bed post above her head. The slack was to give her just enough movement so she could express her distress if anything should become too uncomfortable for her. They had talked about this extensively before deciding to give it a try.

Now, she was secure in every way possible.
.
.
.
Now, he even had control over the very breath of her body.
.
.
.
She could not breathe.
.
.
.
The edge of darkness edged closer.
.
.
.
Closer
.
.
.
Closer
.
.
.
Her body was tense. Every muscle, every cell, screaming for the oxygen molecules her lungs were being deprived of.
.
.
.
The edge grew bolder. More refined. His eyes were all she could see.
.
.
.
Thicker, the darkness grew. Consumed. But not yet completely taking over.
.
.
.
Her body shuddered.
.
.
.
As he had prepared her, tying her, positioning himself, pressing his own naked body against her bare skin, her core had become like molten lava spilling from and coating her folds. They could both smell her. When he had finally looked into her eyes she saw he was right there with her. She didn’t have to look down to see that his body had responded just as hers had.
.
.
.
She couldn’t breathe.
.
.
.
Every callus of his fingertips seemed to feel like sandpaper pressing into her skin.
.
.
.
She couldn’t breathe. Her throat felt tight, constricted, wanting to open.
.
.
.
Every tiny hair upon his legs pressed against her hips and she knew she could count every single one if she put her mind to it.
.
.
.
She couldn’t breathe. Her brain grew tense wanting to scream.
.
.
.
His body heat engulfed her, warming her skin, chasing the chill away like a warm electric blanket being thrown over her.
.
.
.
She couldn’t breathe. She felt her muscles tense tighter wanting to struggle. She resisted.
.
.
.
The texturized skin of his scrotum pressed against her pelvis as their skin molded together taking on each other’s shape.
.
.
.
She couldn’t breathe. Her hands grasped the cords tying her to the bed posts, she wanted to scratch and claw her way free. She resisted.
.
.
.
Her body shuddered again. His eyes searching hers for some sign, as he continued to keep his hands wrapped firmly around her throat. Continuing his control.
.
.
.
She couldn’t breathe. She felt the very hairs on her head stand up, prickle like the hair on the back of a dog when he is viciously preparing to attack.
.
.
.
The darkness hovered closer, tightening its embrace on her mind. A mind, her mind, a mind which never ceased, where thoughts were incessantly hammering at her day and night, her mind suddenly and uniquely was now silent of nothing but the sensations and his eyes.
.
.
.
She couldn’t breathe. Her body felt like it was swelling getting ready to explode.
.
.
.
A body, her body, always tense, always prepared to fight or flight, gradually, inevitably, slipped into the darkness, embracing it in complete surrender. Every muscle, every fiber, ever cell surrendered, releasing their tense myopic distortion of self and just let go. Her whole body shuddered again. Upon the last shudder, her limbs, her hands, her torso and her head, let go of whatever had bound them into a tightly coiled fused body, and she found herself sinking into the soft mattress of the bed becoming one with it and the body of the man controlling her very breath. She felt his hands start to slacken but she quickly shook her head ‘no’ and he immediately tightened his grip again.
.
.
.
She couldn’t breathe. And yet, she didn’t care.
.
.
.
Her lungs burned. She was familiar with the sensation, she had reached a burning need every time she swam the length of the pool. Yet, she pressed on, would not let up until she reached the end. But this burning need was consuming, it burned through her whole body, exploding onto her skin.
.
.
.
She couldn’t breathe. Her skin became sensitized. Everything felt more intense.
.
.
.
She could hear his breaths like they were bellows blowing against her ears. Knowing he was breathing and she was not sent a flood of hot molten lava between her thighs. He was controlling each and every breath. He could let her live or let her die and her body flushed even as it screamed for oxygen.
.
.
.
She couldn’t breathe. Those were the only words floating in the effervescence of her thoughts.
.
.
.
The silence of her mind was comforting. The tension having left her body was enervating. The hold of his hands around her neck was bliss. And she asked herself how she could feel this way as she hovered so close to the edge of the darkness that was slowly inevitably closing in on her.
.
.
.
Her body throbbed. Even though she couldn’t breathe.
.
.
.
Her sex was hot, needy, and throbbed. Even though she couldn’t breathe.
.
.
.
Her need cried out. Even though she couldn’t breathe.
.
.
.
She opened her mouth. Formed the word…
.
.
.
“NOW” her silent lips spoke.
.
.
.
He understood.
.
.
.
Shifted his weight.
.
.
.
Moved, lowered, descended, and entered her in one firm thrust.
.
.
.
She shattered.
.
.
.
He let go of her throat.
.
.
.
She took her first burning breath in what had seemed like hours.
.
.
.
Shattered again, as he pumped in and out of her in deep hard thrusts.
.
.
.
She felt everything, unbelievably every stroke, deep, consuming, and taking her across the threshold of something she had always known had been there hovering, whispering to her but she had never been able to reach until now.
.
.
.
She took another breath.
.
.
.
And she shattered again, as he emptied his seed into her womb and collapsed upon her. She loved the feel of his weight upon her as he stayed deep inside of her. She could feel them both pulsing, her hot and wet surrounding him and him hard and deep inside still spurting his seed.
.
.
.
Her breath came hard and deep. The darkness receded. Her body still relaxed, her mind still quiet. She drifted off as he released her hands and feet and then pulled her into his embrace.

They both knew this had been something special, maybe something that would never be repeated again. But then, one never really knows for sure where or how far one will need to travel to learn and understand the very depths in order to release ones demons or to break down a fortress holding one captive.

This was an experience neither one of them would forget.
